The spokesperson of the AK Party, Ömer Çelik, intensified his criticisms towards the leader of the CHP, Özgür Özel, raising the political tension once again. Çelik pointed out the allegations of corruption and scandals that have emerged one after another within the CHP, claiming that Özel is ignoring them. Addressing Özel, Çelik said, "First, clean up your own party."
AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik accused CHP Chairman Özgür Özel of covering up scandals within his party, calling out, "First, clean your own party." Çelik stated that Özel ignored the corruption allegations that have emerged one after another in the CHP, yet still made statements targeting President Erdoğan, expressing strong criticism.
POLITICAL LANGUAGE JUGGLING
In a statement on his social media account, Çelik reminded that the accusations reflected in the public were brought up by party members themselves and used the following expressions:
"As the Chairman of the CHP, Özgür Özel's primary task should be to listen to the real CHP members in his party and clean up the party. The current deficit in honesty cannot be covered up with political language juggling."
Çelik said that instead of confronting internal issues, Özel constantly misdirected attention, and that trying to associate President Erdoğan with "gangs" while there are allegations taken to court within the CHP is far from political courtesy.
LOSS OF NAVIGATION
In his statement, Çelik noted, "There is no other political activity than trying to cover up the scandals erupting in the CHP. Directing what he should say to the centers in his own party towards our President and the AK Party is a political loss of navigation."
Çelik concluded his statement with a message directed at Özel, reiterating the call to "clean up the networks in his own party."
Çelik's post is as follows:
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has no other political activity than trying to cover up the scandals and corruption erupting from his party. Therefore, he cannot understand either the internal political developments or foreign policy.
Messages urging Özgür Özel to "clean the party" are being openly expressed even from within his own party. The process that started with "CHP members reporting other CHP members" has become a matter for the judiciary. Özgür Özel's stance on these serious allegations, which have been voiced by CHP members themselves, is merely an escape into political sophistry.
While all of this is evident, Özgür Özel's attempt to mention our esteemed President's name alongside gangs and criminal organizations is yet another indication of his misdirection. Our esteemed President's name always stands on "the right side of history" and "at the center of legitimate politics."
Özgür Özel, in every speech he makes, is turning himself into the protector of the networks that have been exposed by CHP members. The definitions of gangs and criminal organizations by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel need to be directed towards the networks erupting from within the CHP. Directing what he should say to the centers in his own party towards our esteemed President, our AK Party, and our People's Alliance shows that the "political navigation" problem has reached serious dimensions.
As the Chairman of the CHP, Özgür Özel's primary task should be to listen to the real CHP members in his party and "clean the party."
The current deficit in honesty cannot be covered up with political language juggling.
