Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan emphasized that discussions will be held regarding the meeting with Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı within the scope of the "Terror-Free Turkey" process and that this contact is necessary for the progress of the process.

Doğan highlighted the importance of a possible meeting with Öcalan, stating, "Öcalan is ending a war. Weapons will be completely out of use. A space for dialogue will be opened."
DELAYING THE MEETING TIME SPARKED DEBATE
The press conference that the DEM Party planned to hold at 14:00 in the afternoon was postponed by one hour due to "discussions regarding the agenda within the party," which was interpreted differently by some media outlets. Doğan reacted to headlines stating "DEM Party has gone silent," clarifying that the postponement was due to a technical reason.

The party spokesperson also announced that preparations for a possible visit to Imralı have been completed. The DEM Party announced that they have designated Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit as the representative for the meeting.
