WHAT'S IN THE INDICTMENT?
In the 402-page indictment prepared by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that the investigation into the irregularities alleged to have been committed by some company officials participating in the procurement of goods and services by the Municipality, municipal personnel, and tender processes had been completed.
In the indictment, it was noted that in many procurements made by the support services, business, and social assistance departments within the Beykoz Municipality, actions contrary to the principles of transparency, equal treatment, competition, accuracy, and confidentiality were observed, and that alternating bids were received from interconnected companies.
The indictment included information about organic ties in terms of address, kinship, and partnership levels between some tender contractor companies and other bidding firms.
It was stated in the indictment that some goods and services were accepted before the dates of the tenders in an open account manner, and that there were tenders for which payments were made despite the absence of delivery or incomplete delivery according to the municipality's stock records.
UP TO 67 YEARS IN PRISON SOUGHT
In the indictment, it was stated that suspended Mayor Alaattin Köseler was considered the founder of a corruption organization, while Private Secretary Veli Gümüş and Private Secretary staff member Metin Ülgey were evaluated as managers, and the punishment of 26 suspects for various crimes was requested.
