The leader of the Good Party, Müsavat Dervişoğlu, called on the CHP, which did not provide a member for the Imralı delegation, to "withdraw from the committee." Dervişoğlu stated, "The CHP said it would not participate in the Imralı visit but would continue to work in the committee. The main opposition party, which cannot prevent a visit to Imralı, should now withdraw from that committee, should not be present in that committee, and should not be complicit in this betrayal any longer."
Good Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu attended the party's 4th Ordinary Provincial Congress in Trabzon. Speaking at the congress held at the Hamamizade İhsan Bey Cultural Center in the Ortahisar district, Dervişoğlu said, "They came to raise a pious generation. The number of deists has increased, the number of atheists has increased. The number of those without faith has also increased. I do not criticize anyone through individuals. I try to formulate sentences by looking at the results of their actions. The country is lost. In a country governed by people who bow in prayer five times a day, the number of those without God and the number of the irreligious are increasing. They are also debating whether to go to 'Imralı' or not. Don't you have any conscience? Drugs have reached children. Our schools in the villages have closed, and there is nothing left that requires us to live in the village. We have traveled all over Turkey; we used to travel before as well. The hazelnut producer was not satisfied with his situation, he became a tea producer. The apricot producer was not satisfied with his situation, but he was satisfied with being a pistachio producer. Now it is impossible to find a servant of God who is satisfied with their situation. No one is making an effort to protect the rights of the producer," he stated.
"CHP SHOULD WITHDRAW FROM THE COMMISSION" Dervişoğlu stated, "It has become necessary for political parties, especially the main opposition party, to be warned by us. We said, 'Do not enter this commission.' This commission is established to legitimize the infamous goals. Political parties are being made into figures of the process by being trapped. The parties did not listen to us. They said, 'Let's go there and express our views; if there are things we do not accept, we will stand against them.' Even if you stand against it, you cannot change anything. Today, the Republican People's Party (CHP) stood against it. They said they would not participate in the visit to Imralı but would continue to work in the commission. A huge main opposition party that cannot prevent a visit to Imralı should now withdraw from that commission, should not be in that commission, and should not be a partner in this betrayal any longer. My call is also valid for other parties. This commission has been established with the stubbornness, desire, and expectations of Abdullah Öcalan," he expressed.
"I CONSIDER SPEAKING TRUTHFULLY AS BOTH A POLITICAL RESPONSIBILITY AND A DUTY" Dervişoğlu expressed that they will continue to fight against negative steps, stating, "I consider speaking the truth for the country as both a political responsibility and a duty. Resisting against actions that are contrary to Turkey's future and negative steps should be the duty of both myself and my comrades. Therefore, we will continue to fight together until the end. We cannot build this alone. We must engage in great struggles. Therefore, I do not believe that Turkey's tomorrow will be brighter than today. Until the ballot box comes and the government changes, what is seen and understood is that Turkey will continue to face calamities. We established the Good Party to govern Turkey. We did not establish the Good Party to bring another political party to power. We did not establish it to be a wagon behind someone else's locomotive. We will continue our journey with this will," he said.
