The Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, is said to have resigned and presented his decision to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. WHO IS FAHRETTIN KOCA?Dr. Fahrettin Koca was born on January 2, 1965, in Konya. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown and graduated from Bursa Erkek Lisesi. He completed Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1988 and obtained the title of medical doctor. He specialized in the Department of Pediatrics at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine and became a Pediatrician in 1995. He served as a physician and medical director in various healthcare institutions. He made significant advancements in line with Turkey's healthcare transformation policies in the healthcare institutions he established and chaired. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Medipol University, which was established in 2009 by the Turkey Education Health and Research Foundation (TESA). Koca, who is married and has four children, is a member of the Turkish Pediatric Association, Pediatric Metabolism and Nutrition Association, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) Health Profession Committee, and Private Hospitals Healthcare Institutions Association (OHSAD). He is also the Vice Chairman of the Education Committee of the Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEIK), the President of the Foundation University Hospitals Association, and the Chairman of the Health Services Committee of the Service Exporters' Association.
