The Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, is said to have resigned and presented his decision to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Speaking to Ismail Saymaz from Halk TV about the issue, Minister Koca did not deny the allegations.

Minister Koca responded to the question "You have asked for forgiveness, is it true?" with "Life can be unpredictable, as you know. What matters is serving the nation and the state. In every position."

ERDOGAN SAID "WE WILL DO WHAT IS NECESSARY"

President Erdogan strongly criticized Minister Koca during the first Central Decision-Making and Executive Board meeting after the March 31 elections. Turning to Koca, he said, "There are complaints about appointments. We will take the problem very seriously with you and do what is necessary."

WHO IS FAHRETTIN KOCA?

Dr. Fahrettin Koca was born on January 2, 1965, in Konya. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown and graduated from Bursa Erkek Lisesi. He completed Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1988 and obtained the title of medical doctor. He specialized in the Department of Pediatrics at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine and became a Pediatrician in 1995.

He served as a physician and medical director in various healthcare institutions. He made significant advancements in line with Turkey's healthcare transformation policies in the healthcare institutions he established and chaired. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Medipol University, which was established in 2009 by the Turkey Education Health and Research Foundation (TESA).

Koca, who is married and has four children, is a member of the Turkish Pediatric Association, Pediatric Metabolism and Nutrition Association, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) Health Profession Committee, and Private Hospitals Healthcare Institutions Association (OHSAD). He is also the Vice Chairman of the Education Committee of the Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEIK), the President of the Foundation University Hospitals Association, and the Chairman of the Health Services Committee of the Service Exporters' Association.
