Living in Konya, Dilara S. got engaged to T.K. (35) in June 2022, claiming she had just graduated from medical school. During the engagement ceremony, many pieces of jewelry and money were given at the insistence of the young woman's mother, Hacer S. However, shortly after, T.K. learned that his fiancée had married in January. Following this development, he broke off the engagement, but Dilara S. sold the engagement jewelry and disappeared with 140,000 TL.

According to a report in Sabah, T.K. went to the prosecutor's office to file a complaint for fraud after what he experienced. The Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office determined that Dilara S. and her mother acted in cooperation and opened a case against the two, seeking a prison sentence of 1 to 5 years.
