Leaders gathered in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, signed the 'Sharm el-Sheikh Agreement' regarding the ceasefire agreement reached in Gaza.

"WE SUPPORT TRUMP FOR HIS SINCERE EFFORTS"

President Erdoğan stated that in the Declaration for Permanent Peace and Prosperity signed by U.S. President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, "We, the undersigned, welcome the historic commitment of all parties to implement the Trump Peace Agreement with determination. This agreement marks the beginning of a new era defined by hope, security, and a vision of shared prosperity, ending the deep pain and losses that have persisted for over two years. We support President Trump for his sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza and bring lasting peace to the Middle East, and we stand behind him. Together, we will implement this agreement in a way that guarantees peace, security, stability, and opportunity for all peoples in the region (including Palestinians and Israelis). We know that lasting peace can only be achieved in an order where the fundamental human rights of both Palestinians and Israelis are protected, their security is guaranteed, and their dignity is upheld. We affirm that significant progress can only be achieved through cooperation and continuous dialogue, and that strengthening the bonds between nations and peoples serves the lasting interests of regional and global peace and stability," it was stated.

"WE ARE DETERMINED AGAINST ALL FORMS OF RADICALIZATION"

The declaration continued with the following statements: "We acknowledge that this region holds deep historical and spiritual significance for faith communities intertwined with these lands, including Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. Respecting these sacred bonds and protecting heritage sites will be a fundamental priority of our commitment to coexist peacefully. We are determined against all forms of extremism and radicalization. No society can thrive in an environment where violence and racism are normalized or where radical ideologies threaten the fabric of civil life. We commit to eliminating the conditions that fuel extremism and to promoting education, equal opportunity, and mutual respect as the foundation of lasting peace. We pledge to resolve future disputes through diplomatic contact and negotiation rather than force or prolonged conflict.

"WE DEDICATE OURSELVES TO A FUTURE FILLED WITH PERMANENT PEACE"

We acknowledge that the Middle East can no longer endure endless cycles of war, stalled negotiations, or the fragmented, incomplete, or selectively implemented provisions of successfully negotiated agreements. The tragedies of the past two years painfully remind us that future generations deserve better than the failures of the past. We seek tolerance, dignity, and equal opportunity for all; we aim to create a region where everyone, regardless of race, faith, or ethnicity, can achieve their goals in peace, security, and economic prosperity. We pursue a comprehensive vision of peace, security, and shared prosperity based on mutual respect and the principles of common destiny. In this spirit, we welcome the progress made in establishing lasting and comprehensive peace arrangements in the Gaza Strip, as well as the friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Israel and its regional neighbors. We commit to working together to implement and sustain this legacy, building institutional foundations where future generations can develop together in peace. We dedicate ourselves to a future filled with permanent peace.
