"THE VICTIM SPIT AT NURSE ASLI"

In the hearing held yesterday at the Gaziantep 3rd Heavy Penal Court, caregiver Semihat Ö. testified as a witness, stating:

"When we entered the intensive care unit, there was a dispute between the victim and Nurse Aslı. When the victim spat at Nurse Aslı, she got angry and covered the patient's mouth with a blanket. Nurse Aslı said, 'I know what to do with you now.' Then, she took 2 cc from another patient's intubation medication and said, 'Mustafa, do this to Baysal.' About five to six minutes after the medication was administered, the patient deteriorated. For 45 minutes, Nurse Aslı and Mustafa intervened with the patient. "WE WERE GOING TO TAKE HIM HOME IN THE MORNING, THEY GAVE US HIS COFFIN"

İpek Baysal, the sister of Abdurrezzak Baysal, stated, "My brother had a traffic accident. He only had a broken leg; otherwise, he was healthy. He stayed in intensive care for 10 days, then was transferred to the normal ward. Everything was fine. That night at 4:00 AM, they called from the hospital and said, 'Your brother had a heart attack, he passed away.' We were shocked, we couldn't believe it. We were going to take him home in the morning, they gave us his coffin. We want justice."
