34 workers were poisoned due to fumigation at a slaughterhouse belonging to Beypiliç company in Bolu. Upon notification, numerous health teams were dispatched to the area. 34 workers were hospitalized due to poisoning caused by fumigation at a slaughterhouse belonging to Beypiliç company in Bolu.
IT HAPPENED WHEN THEY ARRIVED AT THE COMPANY IN THE MORNING
The incident occurred at a slaughterhouse operated by Beypiliç company in the Vakıfgeçitveren village area. According to the information obtained, cleaning fumigation was carried out yesterday in an area of the slaughterhouse where workers were not present. Workers arrived at the fumigated area in the morning hours. 31 workers employed in the slaughterhouse section fell ill due to exposure to the cleaning chemical.
WORKERS WERE TAKEN TO NEARBY HOSPITALS
When the workers fell ill, the situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, numerous medical teams were dispatched to the area. After initial intervention by health teams at the scene, the workers were taken to different hospitals in the city.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Additionally, 3 patients went to the hospital on their own. It was learned that a total of 34 workers receiving treatment are not in life-threatening condition.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
