In Antalya's Kepez district, a person named Berat Bozçalı went to his ex-girlfriend Azize Tekin's house, assaulted a person named J.Y. who was there, and then shot Azize twice, killing her. Berat Bozçalı (29), who went to the house of his ex-girlfriend Azize Tekin (21) in Antalya, beat her boyfriend J.Y. and then shot Tekin twice, killing her. Bozçalı then ended his own life with the same weapon.
The incident occurred last night in a 3-story apartment building in the Aydoğmuş neighborhood of Kepez district. Azize Tekin, who lives on the second floor, came home with her boyfriend J.Y. According to allegations, her ex-boyfriend Berat Bozçalı began calling Tekin on his mobile phone at this time.
HE CAME TO HER DOOR WITH A MASK AND KNOCKED SAYING "POLICE"
Unable to get an answer to his calls, Bozçalı put on a mask and arrived at Tekin's house around 01:00. Bozçalı shouted 'Police' and began banging on the door. He assaulted J.Y., who opened the door. While Azize Tekin was panicking, Bozçalı told J.Y. to leave the house and closed the door. From the arguing pair, Bozçalı first shot Tekin in the shoulder and head with the gun he had brought, and then shot himself in the head with the same weapon.
DOOR WAS BROKEN TO ENTER
J.Y., who left the house, and neighbors reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center, and a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the address. When there was no response, firefighters broke down the door, and police entering the house found the lifeless bodies of Tekin and Bozçalı. Berat Bozçalı, who had no ID on him, was identified by fingerprints. After examinations, the bodies of Bozçalı and Tekin were placed in the morgue of the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute. J.Y. was taken to the police station for questioning.

Selim S., a neighbor from the adjacent building of Azize Tekin, said, "Last night around 01:30, we heard arguing from the next building. After the argument, one guy went outside, 2 people stayed inside; 1 woman, 1 man. The man shot the girl twice. He fired the third bullet at himself. The friend who went outside also ran and went to the police. After that, police teams, everyone came here. They waited for the prosecutor's decision to enter. They couldn't get in; the door was locked, there was no sound from anyone. They knocked on the door, but the residents in the building didn't open their doors. We didn't know him, but police teams had come here before for them, on the 19th of the month."
