As of midnight, there was an average discount of 63 kuruş on gasoline and an average discount of 2 lira 4 kuruş on diesel. With the discounts reflected at the pump, the price of gasoline in Istanbul is sold at 54 lira 35 kuruş per liter, while diesel is sold at 55 lira.

A SILENT DISCOUNT CAME AT MIDNIGHT
At midnight, the average price of gasoline was reduced by 63 kuruş per liter, while diesel saw an average decrease of 2 lira and 4 kuruş. With the discount reflected at the pump, the price of gasoline in Istanbul is sold at 54 lira and 35 kuruş, while diesel is sold at 55 lira.
HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?
Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average prices of refined products in the Mediterranean market, which includes Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may show slight variations due to competition and freedom among companies and cities.
EPGIS HAD DECIDED NOT TO ANNOUNCE PRICE CHANGES
After the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) filed a complaint against EPGIS, the only union that explains changes in prices, the union announced that it would not share fuel price changes with the public until the legal process is concluded.
