Significant developments occurred at midnight in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. A detention order was issued for 16 individuals, including former Galatasaray president Burak Elmas, former Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman, Hakan Sabancı, Kerim Sabancı, Didem Soydan, Güzide Duran, and actress Hande Erçel. 14 of the suspects were detained.
The investigations carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding "manufacturing and trafficking of narcotic substances," "providing special places, equipment, or materials to facilitate the use of narcotic or stimulant substances and taking measures to make it difficult for users to be caught," "purchasing, accepting, or possessing narcotic or stimulant substances for use," "using narcotic or stimulant substances," and "promoting and facilitating prostitution" are ongoing.
ARREST WARRANT ISSUED FOR 16 SUSPECTS
In a statement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that an arrest warrant was issued for a total of 16 suspects who were found to possess narcotic substances for use or facilitate drug use.
ARREST WARRANT FOR 2 SUSPECTS
In a simultaneous operation conducted by the Istanbul Narcotic Crimes Investigation Branch teams at 16 addresses to capture the suspects, it was announced that 14 suspects were detained, and an arrest warrant was issued for two suspects.

Among those detained are well-known figures such as former Galatasaray president Burak Elmas, former Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman, Hakan Sabancı, Kerim Sabancı, actress Hande Erçel, model Didem Soydan, and presenter Güzide Duran.

OPERATION AGAINST CELEBRITIES STARTED IN OCTOBER
Since October 8, 2025, many operations have been carried out in the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against celebrities. Musicians, managers, and many well-known business figures have provided hair and blood samples for statements and drug tests. A total of 26 people have been arrested within the scope of the investigation.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
In the drug operation against celebrities, the detained individuals are first subjected to a health check at the hospital. These individuals are then taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for drug testing. Afterward, the celebrities are taken to the courthouse to give statements to the prosecutor. The prosecutor's request regarding the detained individuals is made at this stage. Depending on the request, the celebrity names are either released or referred to court.
