During the natural gas main pipeline work in Deredibi village of Akçakoca district in Düzce, a collapse occurred, trapping two workers under the ground. One of the workers, Başer, lost his life, while the other was taken to the hospital for treatment.
One worker lost his life and another was injured in a collapse that occurred during the natural gas main pipeline work in the Akçakoca district of Düzce. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
TWO WORKERS TRAPPED IN THE COLLAPSE
The incident occurred in the evening hours in the forest area of the Deredibi village, located in the Akçakoca district, at the Kestane Bayırı location. A landslide occurred while the natural gas main pipeline work was being carried out. Deniz K. (20) and İsmail Başer (22), who were trapped under the soil, were rescued with the help of other workers.
1 WORKER LOST HIS LIFE, ANOTHER INJURED
Upon notification, health, gendarmerie, AFAD, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene. During the examination by the health team, it was determined that İsmail Başer had lost his life. The injured Deniz K. was taken to Düzce University Hospital by ambulance after the first intervention at the scene. The lifeless body of the deceased worker was also taken to the morgue of the same hospital after the examination.
An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
