In the "espionage" investigation of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that Hüseyin Gün, who was identified as an agent for foreign countries, had secret military information, foreign passport photos, and organizational connections in his digital materials.
As part of the investigation, Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was suspended from his position as the Mayor of Istanbul and arrested, along with detained Necati Özkan and Tele1's founder Merdan Yanardağ, faced charges of "espionage" and "organized crime for profit."

İMAMOĞLU BROUGHT TO THE COURTHOUSE Ekrem İmamoğlu's wife Dilek İmamoğlu and son Selim İmamoğlu arrived at the courthouse. Detained Ekrem İmamoğlu was also brought to Çağlayan at 10:55 AM. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel also arrived at the courthouse.
12 PERSON LIST It has been learned that there is a list of 12 people, including party officials and Özgür Özel, and that only those names will be allowed inside, excluding the press.
WHAT ARE THE ALLEGATIONS? As part of the investigation, the suspects are accused of obtaining voter data through digital applications, sharing this data with foreign intelligence services, obtaining material benefits, and creating funds for İmamoğlu's presidential election campaign.

CHP BUS STOPPED While the CHP described the process as a "political operation," it announced that a gathering would be held in front of the courthouse today to support İmamoğlu, with the participation of deputies. It is expected that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will make a speech from the party bus.
The CHP bus was brought to the courthouse in Çağlayan yesterday. While the vehicle was parked, it was surrounded by civilian vehicles. CHP Deputy Umut Akdoğan shared information that the front of the party bus was blocked by a civilian vehicle.
BAN IN 4 DISTRICTS The Istanbul Governorship announced that all kinds of activities such as protests, signature campaigns, memorial ceremonies, and distribution of flyers are banned for one day in the districts of Beyoğlu, Bayrampaşa, Kağıthane, and Şişli.
The ban will be in effect for one day from 00:01 to 23:59 on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
