American businessman Elon Musk called on U.S. President Donald Trump to "just publish the files as you promised," referring to the Epstein files.
After his relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump soured, American billionaire Elon Musk took a new step that would anger Trump in his efforts to establish a new party.
"PUBLISH THE FILES AS YOU PROMISED"
Musk commented on Trump's post on social media platform X, where Trump stated that "Epstein should not be kept in the spotlight this much."
Reacting to Trump with "Are you really serious?", Musk pointed out that Trump repeatedly mentioned "Epstein" even while expressing that Epstein should not be talked about so much. In his post, Musk urged Trump to "just publish the files as you promised."
WHAT HAPPENED?
Trump expressed his discomfort about the ongoing discussion of the Epstein files, claiming on his Truth Social account that they were created by previous Democratic administrations.
Trump suggested that the Epstein files were prepared by the administrations of former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, questioning, "Why are we giving so much attention to these files written by those who deceived the world with the Russia hoax?"
THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN CASE
Jeffrey Epstein, who was charged with sexually abusing dozens of girls under the age of 18, including one as young as 14, and creating a prostitution network, was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, on August 10, 2019.
Authorities declared Epstein's cause of death as suicide, but family members rejected this and expressed their suspicions.
Epstein's girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty in a case where she was accused of assisting Epstein's illegal activities in organizing the trafficking of underage girls for some wealthy individuals, celebrities, and government officials.
The Epstein case files, which began to be published at the beginning of January, brought this issue back to the forefront; over 4,500 documents published in four parts by the judge revealed the connections between Epstein and many famous names.
The disclosed case files included famous names such as Prince Andrew, former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, actor Kevin Spacey, singer Michael Jackson, illusionist David Copperfield, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.
Although the names of Clinton and Trump appeared in the files, no charges were directed at the former presidents.
