It has been reported that American businessman Elon Musk plans to donate 100 million dollars for the political operations of President Donald Trump, for whom he serves as a senior advisor. According to a report by The New York Times (NYT), the businessman at the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) made the decision to donate after President Trump purchased vehicles from Musk's company, Tesla.
WILL DONATE TO AN EXTERNAL ORGANIZATION LINKED TO TRUMP
White House sources told NYT that Musk wants to make his 100 million dollar donation to another external organization linked to the president, rather than to the political action committee "America PAC," which supports Republican candidate Trump in the presidential elections.
PERSON WHO MADE THE MOST POLITICAL DONATIONS
On the other hand, Musk, who donated approximately 288 million dollars to the election campaigns of Trump and other Republican candidates in the November 2024 elections, has become the person who made the most political donations.
SIT-IN AT TESLA DEALERSHIP
On March 8 in New York City, protesters forcibly entered the Tesla car dealership owned by Musk and staged a sit-in. Other protesters, who continued to protest in front of the dealership with signs and banners, chanted slogans such as "Musk is not an elected one" and "Musk must go."
TRUMP PURCHASED TESLA TO SHOW SUPPORT
President Trump, while purchasing a Tesla vehicle to show his support for Musk, stated, "This man has dedicated his energy and life to doing this, and I think he has been treated unfairly."
