They stated that the rumors about their father's inheritance do not reflect the truth and warned the public to be cautious about accurate information.
One of the master actors of Yeşilçam, Engin Çağlar, passed away at the age of 85 due to a motorcycle accident on November 1.
Following the artist's death, various claims emerged on social media under headlines such as "secret will," "billions of lira inheritance," and "family cannot explain." In response to these news, Çağlar's children Eser Övet and Çağlan Övet broke their silence.
The Övet siblings stated in a statement made on their social media accounts that the claims regarding their father's inheritance that have been circulating recently do not reflect the truth.
The statement included the following: "The inheritance and will news about our father that have emerged on social media in the last few days do not reflect the truth. The intention is to encourage individuals to direct them to a financial platform and to manipulate. We kindly ask that such news not be taken seriously."

The real name of Engin Çağlar, whose real name is Çağlan Övet, was born in Istanbul in the 1940s. He was recognized as one of the most popular male actors in Turkish cinema during the 1960s and 1970s.
The famous figure completed his education at Şişli Terakki High School and Robert College, and later received interior architecture training in Germany.
