"MOST LIKELY THEY POURED DIESEL OR GASOLINE"
Mustafa Meydan, who managed to get out of his vehicle just in time, said, "I heard someone say 'Help, there's a fire.' We jumped out of bed and came. We saw a liquid flowing down this channel, in flames. The fire was spreading under my vehicle, I managed to get out of the flames just in time," he said.
Business owner Burhan Aydın said, "We were sleeping when suddenly my mother screamed. At that moment, we rushed outside. Most likely, they poured diesel or gasoline. We tried to extinguish the fire. The more water we threw, the more the fire grew. First, our vehicles burned, then our storage burned. We have no animosity with anyone, it's a small neighborhood. Everyone knows each other. We didn't have any casualties, only our vehicles burned," he said.
