Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of the deposed Iranian Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, argued that the Iranian regime has effectively come to an end with the death of the religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stating, "Any attempt by the remnants of the regime to appoint a successor to Khamenei is doomed to fail from the very beginning. Whoever they bring in his place will have neither legitimacy nor permanence, and will undoubtedly be considered complicit in the crimes of the regime."
The exiled son of the deposed Iranian Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Reza Pahlavi, issued a written statement following the death of Iran's religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Describing Khamenei as a "bloodthirsty despot," Pahlavi stated, "Khamenei, the killer of tens of thousands of Iran's bravest sons, has been erased from the stage of history. With his death, the Islamic Republic of Iran has effectively come to an end and will soon be consigned to the dustbin of history."
"IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE HIM"
Pahlavi, who suggested that it is impossible to replace Khamenei, said, "Any attempt by the remnants of the regime to appoint a successor to Khamenei is doomed to fail from the very beginning. Whoever they bring in his place will have neither legitimacy nor permanence and will undoubtedly be considered complicit in the regime's crimes."
CALL FROM PEHLEVİ TO IRANIAN SECURITY FORCES
Addressing the Iranian army and law enforcement, Pahlavi stated, "The effort to keep a crumbling regime standing will be in vain. This is your last opportunity to stand with the nation, to ensure a stable transition to a free and prosperous future for Iran, and to play a role in building that future." Pahlavi also addressed the Iranian people, saying, "This could be the beginning of our great national celebration; however, it is not the end of the road. Be vigilant and prepared. The time to show a broad and determined presence in the streets is very near. With unity and determination, we will achieve ultimate victory and celebrate Iran's freedom throughout our beloved homeland."
