GOVERNOR ÇELİK: OUR GREATEST COMFORT IS THAT THERE ARE NO CASUALTIES
Governor Cahit Çelik, who came to the scene and received information from the teams, extended his wishes for a speedy recovery to the OSB management. In a statement to the press, Çelik noted: "Around 18:45 today, according to the first statements of eyewitnesses, there was an explosion followed by a large fire at a facility in the OSB. Firefighting vehicles from Niğde, Bor, and all our neighboring municipalities intervened very quickly. We have contained the initial energy of the fire. Currently, extinguishing efforts are ongoing. Our greatest comfort is that there are no casualties. Despite being a large facility with approximately 100 employees, there was no one in the facility at the time of the fire. Thank God, we have no injured citizens. In this sense, we have avoided a major disaster. With the measures taken, there is no risk of the fire spreading to other parcels. Our friends are working diligently. I thank all the firefighters and colleagues on duty."
