WHAT DID ÖZGÜR ÖZEL SAY?
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made striking statements yesterday regarding the allegations that referees in Turkish football are involved in betting. Özel said, "The referee who unjustly gave a red card to Göztepe in İzmir placed a bet of 5.5 million on the same day from Northern Cyprus. The country has gone rotten, morality has disappeared, and those in power do not take responsibility for these issues. It is not enough to just pursue these matters. This nation will mark you in this election, will put an end to this filth, and will start a clean Turkey."
