Dr. Peter Attia, considered one of the most trusted names in the world of longevity and healthy living, is facing a massive scandal that has shaken his medical ethics and personal reputation. His past close relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and the mention of his name 1,700 times in new files released by the U.S. Department of Justice have pushed Attia not only out of the medical community but also from the major companies he founded.

Dr. Peter Attia, who gained worldwide fame for his work on healthy living and longevity, is experiencing a significant loss of reputation following the disclosure of his past correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein. The fact that his name appears more than 1,700 times in the latest Epstein files released by the U.S. Department of Justice has had a seismic impact on Attia's career.

HE RESIGNED FROM HIS POSITION IN THE COMPANY, HIS NAME WAS REMOVED FROM THE WEBSITE

According to a report by Reuters, Peter Rahal, the founder of the protein bar brand David Protein, announced via a statement on X that Dr. Peter Attia has resigned from his position as "Chief Science Officer" (CSO) at the company. Immediately following the announcement, Attia's name and photo were completely removed from the "experts" section of the company's official website. Attia was also one of the main investors involved in the company's $10 million investment round in August 2024.

"I MADE TASTELESS JOKES, I AM ASHAMED"

Breaking his silence after the release of the documents, Dr. Attia denied allegations of involvement in criminal activities but apologized for the content of his correspondence with Epstein. In his statement, Attia expressed:

"I regret the public exposure of some emails that are embarrassing, inappropriate, and indefensible. I accept this humiliation; at the time, I viewed these conversations not as things serving a dark purpose, but as childish and crude jokes."

CONTROVERSIAL "SHIPMENT" CORRESPONDENCE

One of the most striking details in the files was an email Attia sent to Epstein in 2015 titled "I received a new shipment." Attia claimed that this statement referred to the drug "metformin," which he used for its anti-aging effects at the time. However, Epstein's response to this note with a photo of an adult woman saying "Me too," and Attia's crude joke in response to this situation, drew backlash from the medical community.

QUESTIONED EPSTEIN'S CRIMINAL RECORD

Attia stated that he met with Epstein approximately eight times between 2014 and 2019, claiming these meetings were about "scientific research." When he asked Epstein about his 2008 sexual offense conviction, Attia claimed that Epstein described the incident to him as "just a simple prostitution matter," asserting that he witnessed no illegal activity or any minors.
