Fenerbahçe has denied the allegations that were made after Ali Koç's visit to Özel and Bahçeli.

Fenerbahçe, after President Ali Koç's recent visits to CHP leader Özgür Özel and MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli in Ankara, denied the political allegations made by various news channels and social media accounts.

In a statement made by the yellow and navy club, it was stated that the sole purpose of the courtesy visits was to introduce the new Board of Directors to the political party leaders who are important social stakeholders. Fenerbahçe has always stayed out of politics and has always maintained an equal distance from all parties. We kindly request the public not to take into consideration these baseless and unfounded allegations.

"Due to the imaginary and malicious allegations brought up regarding the visits made by our President Ali Y. Koç and our Board of Directors on Monday, August 19th in Ankara, it has become necessary to make a statement.

The sole purpose of these courtesy visits is to introduce the new Board of Directors to the political party leaders who are important social stakeholders.

There is no political agenda or purpose in any way as claimed or otherwise.

Fenerbahçe, the world's largest sports club, has always stayed out of politics and has always maintained an equal distance from all parties.

Our principle as a club is to serve Turkish sports and represent our country in the international arena in the best possible way. Including Fenerbahçe in political evaluations is a great impertinence.

We kindly request the public not to take into consideration these baseless and unfounded allegations.

VISITED ÖZEL FIRST

Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Ali Koç, after being attacked during the Göztepe-Fenerbahçe match in the 2nd week of Trendyol Super League, went to Ankara. First, Koç visited the CHP Headquarters and met with CHP leader Özgür Özel. Fenerbahçe Board of Directors members accompanied Koç. According to the statement made by the CHP press unit, CHP General Secretary Selin Sayek Böke and Deputy Chairpersons Deniz Yücel, Sevgi Kılıç, and Gülşah Deniz Atalar accompanied Özel during the meeting. Koç presented a Fenerbahçe jersey to Özel as a gift.

THEN VISITED BAHÇELİ

Fenerbahçe Club President Ali Koç later came to the MHP Headquarters to meet with Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli. Koç was welcomed by MHP General Chairman Advisor Eyyup Yıldız. Meanwhile, an interesting image was reflected in front of the cameras after the closed-door meeting that lasted about an hour. Despite Bahçeli telling Ali Koç, "There is no need, don't tire yourself," he escorted him to his car, which made an impression on the visit.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the photo shared during Ali Koç's visit, the clock that MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli referred to as "I took out its battery, fixed it to 17-25, we will never step back from our promise of accountability" was seen. The fact that the clock was seen in the photo was interpreted as a message from Bahçeli to the AKP. MHP leader, who reacted strongly to the allegations, said, "The People's Alliance is the reflex of Turkish history, the symbol of the existence and unity of the Turkish nation. The December 17-25 police and judiciary coup process is the incubation phase of the July 15 FETÖ betrayal. The roof of the July 15 invasion attempt was built with the December 17-25 process."
