Fenerbahçe has loaned Cengiz Ünder to MLS team Los Angeles FC until the end of the 2024-2025 season. The agreement between the clubs also includes a purchase option. Cengiz was transferred from Marseille in 2023 for 15 million euros, breaking the transfer record for the yellow-red club at that time.
The separation that has been on the agenda at Fenerbahçe for a while has been made official. The yellow-navy team has transferred Cengiz Ünder to Los Angeles FC, a team from the MLS league.

In the statement made regarding Cengiz from Fenerbahçe, it was stated, "Our club has reached a principle agreement with Los Angeles FC, one of the Major League Soccer teams in the United States, for the loan transfer of our professional football team player Cengiz Ünder until July 1, 2025. The player has been granted travel permission to undergo medical checks and to advance transfer negotiations."
THERE IS A PURCHASE OPTION
Los Angeles FC announced that the 27-year-old player has been loaned with a purchase option. Los Angeles FC's General Manager John Thorrington said, "Cengiz is a top-level player with experience at the highest levels of international competition. He has proven himself in some of the best leagues in the world and will contribute to our success with his attacking skills."

Cengiz Ünder, who transferred to Fenerbahçe from the French team Marseille for 15 million euros in the summer of 2023, became the player for whom the yellow-navy team paid the highest transfer fee in its history at that time. This record was broken last summer by Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, who was acquired from Sevilla for 19.5 million euros. The 27-year-old player, who has worn the Fenerbahçe jersey in 9 matches this season, has only been able to play for 252 minutes and did not contribute to the score. The national player's current market value is shown as 7.5 million euros, and he has a contract with his team until 2027.
