Fenerbahce Keep Up Pressure On Besiktas In Title Race

Fenerbahce scored a comfortable 3-1 win over capital team Ankaragucu on Monday to keep up their pressure on Besiktas in the Super Lig title race.

Mame Thiam gave the Istanbul team a 1-0 lead before Mbwana Samatta doubled the lead in the first half.

In the second half, Enner Valencia scored a long-range goal while Ankaragucu's Emre Gural made the score 3-1.

Fenerbahce leveled points with Besiktas as both teams have 38 points in 18 matches to sit at the top of the table.

Besiktas defeated 10-man Galatasaray 2-0 in an Istanbul derby on Sunday, while third-place Gaziantep FK beat Hes Kablo Kayserispor 2-1 on Saturday.
