Kızılhan, who spoke about Chobani's global successes and social responsibility projects, announced that they signed a stadium naming sponsorship for a total of 10 seasons at 10 million Euros per year, as well as a 5-season European jersey sponsorship agreement.
"THERE CANNOT BE A MORE BEAUTIFUL DAY THAN TODAY"
Chobani CEO Hamdi Ulukaya began his speech by saying, "Dear President, esteemed board members, valuable Fenerbahçe family, all Turks, and our people..." He shared that he took a photo with his wife before leaving home and said, "There cannot be a more beautiful day than today," expressing his joy in experiencing this special day and his pride in being here.
Ulukaya explained that this collaboration came about after a phone call with Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç three months ago, stating that he initially thought, "Is that possible? Chobani has no business in the US or Turkey," but that this idea stuck with him. He then mentioned that they decided on this partnership thanks to Koç's hospitality and humanity.
"IF WE COMBINE OUR MINDS, THERE IS NOTHING WE CANNOT ACHIEVE"
Ulukaya, who spoke about his international successes and background, sent greetings to his childhood friends in Erzincan and invited them to the first match. He noted that he came to the first match by buying a ticket from behind the goal while preparing for university in Kadıköy, stating that being here today means a lot to him. Addressing Fenerbahçe fans and children in Turkey, Ulukaya said, "If we combine our minds, there is nothing we cannot achieve. This is the stadium of the people and Fenerbahçeliler; there cannot be a greater feeling than this." He emphasized that they are companions of Fenerbahçeliler, stating that they will support the club in every way, not just with signage.
"WE ARE PROUD AND HAPPY"
Ali Koç, who spoke at the ceremony, began by saying, "There is no similar agreement in the history of Turkish sports. We are extremely proud and happy." He shared that he met Ulukaya in Davos and that the images of children wearing Fenerbahçe jerseys he saw there affected him. Koç noted that this is the second time a sponsor name has been taken for the stadium, stating that this collaboration is one of the highest agreements made in Europe and that they have signed record-level sponsorships with Adidas.
"THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT JUST A SPONSORSHIP"
Koç expressed that the driving force behind this agreement is Hamdi Ulukaya, stating, "This is not just a sponsorship; it is a partnership of dreams and visions." He also shared an emotional anecdote about Tarkan Gürkan, whom he has known for years, being the CFO of Chobani and how he took him to his first Fenerbahçe match as a child.
"WHAT MATTERS IS FENERBAHÇE"
Koç stated that when they set out as the Fenerbahçe management, they promised not only sporting success but also financial discipline, corporateness, and transparency. He expressed that all these positive developments give him great hope for the future. Hamdi Ulukaya indicated that this agreement is a beginning, stating that they previously provided $1 million in support for children in earthquake-affected areas and that they will initiate aid campaigns in Turkey every year. Ulukaya, who said, "I wear three hats, one of which is Fenerbahçe," emphasized the depth of the bond they have established with the club. He stated that if a higher offer comes to Fenerbahçe, they will either match it or support the acceptance of a better offer, saying, "What matters is Fenerbahçe."
ALI KOÇ'S TRANSFER STATEMENT
Ulukaya mentioned that they will make a very significant announcement regarding football within two months and that they plan to make a large investment in football in the US. Ali Koç left the door open for transfer developments by saying, "As for transfers, something could happen even today." Koç noted that they have not received responses to the applications made for the name Atatürk in the stadium, which he found unfortunate. Ulukaya also expressed that Turkey is a very beautiful country and that they will invest more in the country from now on, inviting other companies to Turkey. He emphasized that if brands like Fenerbahçe succeed globally, everyone will come to Turkey, stating that the club carries this potential.
"FENERBAHÇE IS TURKEY'S LEADING SPORTS CLUB"
Ali Koç concluded his speech by saying, "Fenerbahçe is now Turkey's leading sports club not only on the field but also in brand value, economic power, and visionary partnerships."
