MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız made a striking statement regarding the appointment of trustees. Yıldız stated, "Let's not forget that the appointment of trustees is a precaution. Sometimes this practice continues from the beginning to the end of a case, but when conditions change, it needs to be lifted. There is no obstacle from our side to the reinstatement of Ahmet Özer and Ahmet Türk."
The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, met with the coordinators, group chairs, and vice-chairs of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission. In attendance were AK Party Group Vice-Chair Abdulhamit Gül, CHP Group Vice-Chair Murat Emir, DEM Party Group Vice-Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız, and New Path Party Group Chairman Bülent Kaya. "A TRUSTEE CAN SOMETIMES BE NECESSARY"
MHP's Yıldız stated that they have reached the end of the report of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission and said: "We will hold one more meeting after this. I estimate that a joint report will be produced afterward. We have identified the topics that we can agree on, which will be included in the report without any opposition notes. It doesn't matter if there are 6, 7, or 8 of these. The number may increase or decrease while speaking, depending on the developments during the discussions.
The issue of trustees was mentioned by some parties in their main reports. In the 118-page report presented by the MHP, there was no mention of the trustee application, but this does not mean that the MHP has no opinion on the trustee issue. In our view, the trustee application can sometimes be necessary. For example, if the nature of the crime committed makes the trustee application a necessity, it is more appropriate for the new administrators to be elected by the municipal councils they are affiliated with, rather than the center doing it, at least in terms of preserving the will of the people. It should be like this. There are examples before us as well. Let's not forget that trustee appointments are a precautionary measure.

In short, to summarize, there is no objection from our side to the reinstatement of Ahmet Özer and Ahmet Türk," he stated.
