In the trial where 28 defendants, including Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, who were arrested on charges of money laundering and facing up to 40 years in prison, were being tried, detained defendants Engin Polat, Sezgin Polat, Alper Kürşat Polat, and Ahmet Gün were released. After the decision regarding Dilan Polat, she and her family, along with her sister Sıla Doğu, came to Çorlu Karatepe Penitentiary where Engin Polat would be released. Our whole family has been separated from each other for 10 months. Now we are reunited. Today is a day of complete reunion, a day that we have completed. "I DON'T PLAN TO MAKE ANY POSTS"When asked about the post she made on social media after her husband's release decision, Polat said, "I did it. I don't plan to make any posts for a while. I will be with my family, God willing," she said. Polat also responded "It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter at all" when asked about the precautionary measure imposed by the court. SILA DOĞU: "I ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT WE WERE INNOCENT"Reminded of her first social media post after the release decision, Dilan Polat said, "I don't plan to make any posts for a while. I will be with my family." Sıla Doğu said, "I was always expecting this. We always said that we were innocent, that we believed we were innocent. Finally, we thank the Turkish justice system," she said. Engin Polat is expected to be released after the procedures in prison.
