An indictment has been prepared against 74 suspects, 59 of whom are in custody, on charges of participating in protest demonstrations held in connection with the investigations into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, following the detention and arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu, with a request for up to 3 years of imprisonment for each suspect.

INDICTMENT AGAINST 74 PROTESTERS

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau prepared an indictment against 74 of the 99 individuals detained during the demonstrations held on March 23, on the grounds of "participating unarmed in unlawful meetings and marches and failing to disperse spontaneously despite warnings." Up to 3 years of imprisonment has been requested for the 74 individuals against whom the indictment has been prepared. The cases of the remaining 25 individuals have been separated.
