In the Derikspor vs. Kızıltepe 47 Spor match played in Mardin's Kızıltepe district, after the awarded penalty was converted into a goal, Kızıltepe 47 Spor player Sedat Korul repeatedly kicked Derikspor footballer Yusuf Çiftçi, who was celebrating the goal, first in the knee and then in the head after he fell to the ground. Korul, who was taken into custody, was arrested.

KICKED HIS OPPONENT REPEATEDLY

According to the information obtained, tension rose on the field after a penalty kick taken in the match played at Kızıltepe District Stadium was converted into a goal. The argument that started between the players of the two teams after the goal quickly escalated into a brawl. During the brawl, Kızıltepe 47 Spor player Sedat Korul first kicked Derikspor footballer Yusuf Çiftçi, who was on the ground, in the knee, and then repeatedly in the head. 

CHEEKBONE FRACTURED

Allegedly, Çiftçi's cheekbone was fractured. Following the referee and observer reports regarding the incident, the Turkish Football Federation is expected to initiate a disciplinary process.

FOOTBALLER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WAS ARRESTED

As part of the investigation conducted by the Kızıltepe Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Korul was taken into custody by police teams. After procedures at the police station, Korul was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the judge he was brought before. The treatment of Çiftçi, whose cheekbone was fractured, continues in the hospital.
