As Galatasaray prepares to face Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League, the special "Champions League" clause in head coach Okan Buruk's contract has come to the forefront. If Buruk wins his fourth consecutive championship with Galatasaray, he will receive a bonus of 30 million TL. Additionally, if he reaches the quarter-finals of the Champions League, he will earn another bonus of 30 million TL.
Galatasaray, which will host Bodo/Glimt at home in the Champions League tomorrow evening, has its eyes on head coach Okan Buruk. Buruk, who celebrated his birthday last Sunday, asked his players for a victory as a gift against Bodo/Glimt.
"LIVERPOOL TARIFF" IS BEING PREPARED
Galatasaray, which made the 5-1 defeat against Frankfurt forgotten with the victory over Liverpool, is preparing for the Bodo/Glimt match with the same seriousness. Head coach Okan Buruk has analyzed the Norwegian representative in detail. The coaching staff identified the opponent's weaknesses by watching the matches they played against Slavia Prague and Tottenham multiple times.
SAME SYSTEM, ONLY CHANGE IN ATTACK
The 4-2-3-1 system will be maintained against Bodo/Glimt. Lemina will take part in the midfield, while Osimhen will replace Icardi in the forward line. President Dursun Özbek promised to repeat the 1 million Euro bonus distributed after the Liverpool victory for the Bodo/Glimt match as well.
“CHAMPIONS LEAGUE” CLAUSE IN OKAN BURUK'S CONTRACT
After expressing satisfaction with Okan Buruk's performance, the Galatasaray management updated his contract. The successful coach's guaranteed salary was increased from 140 million TL to 200 million TL. Buruk will receive a 30 million TL bonus if he wins his fourth consecutive championship with Galatasaray.
Additionally, he will earn another 30 million TL bonus if he reaches the quarter-finals in the Champions League. There are also bonus clauses of 7.5 million TL for the Turkish Cup and 10 million TL for the Super Cup in his contract.
QUARTER-FINAL GOAL
At the beginning of the season, Okan Buruk, who received the reinforcements he wanted on the transfer list, had set his goal in the Champions League as the quarter-finals. The management, trusting both this goal and the team's rising performance, rearranged the clauses in Buruk's contract.
