The first response to the scandalous statements made by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz on social media regarding President Erdoğan came from Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş. Yavaş stated, "As a member of a government that kills children, women, and civilians in Gaza, you are the last person who should speak." It is noteworthy that in the Israeli minister's post, President Erdoğan, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Ekrem İmamoğlu, and Mansur Yavaş were all tagged.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş could not remain silent in the face of Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz's statements targeting President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Yavaş, who responded harshly to Katz's words, stated that those who speak in the shadow of genocide have no right to make speeches.

Stating that history will remember Israel as a genocidal state, Yavaş used the following expressions in his statement:
“Those who speak in the shadow of genocide have no right to make speeches. As a member of a regime that kills children, women, and civilians in Gaza, you are the last person who should speak. It is not your place to lecture Turkey and the Turkish nation. First, account for the war crimes you have committed. Both history and conscience will remember you as a genocidal state.”
“STATEMENTS AGAINST TURKEY ARE UNACCEPTABLE”
Yavaş emphasized that harsh statements against Turkey are unacceptable, drawing attention to violations of international law and human rights. In his statement, Yavaş noted that the civilian casualties and humanitarian drama in Gaza cannot be ignored, expressing that such statements further escalate tensions in the region.

Katz included the following statements in his post, tagging President Erdoğan, former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, and Ekrem İmamoğlu: “Turkish President @RTErdogan, after revealing himself to be a paper tiger by not responding to the missiles launched from Iran into Turkish territory, resorts to anti-Semitism and announces sham trials against Israel's political and military leadership in Turkey.
