Despite the temporary ceasefire between Iran and the US, the claim that Lebanon, which continues to face Israeli attacks, will request military assistance from the US for the disarmament of Hezbollah has made headlines. Iran's leader Mojtaba Khamenei's International Relations Advisor Ali Akbar Velayati warned Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, stating, "Ignoring Hezbollah's unique role will expose Lebanon to irreparable security risks."

According to a report by Israel's Channel 12 television based on a Lebanese source, the Beirut administration is primarily planning to request a ceasefire.

"THEY WILL ASK FOR HELP FROM THE USA"

The Lebanese source noted that the Beirut administration will request an urgent ceasefire before the disarmament of Hezbollah, and also stated that they will ask the USA for military assistance for the disarmament of Hezbollah.

"WE WILL REQUEST AN ECONOMIC AID PACKAGE"

The Lebanese source stated that they will request an economic aid package from the USA for the reconstruction of the country, which has suffered great destruction due to Israel's attacks since October 2023.

It was announced that talks would begin for direct negotiations between Israel and Lebanon.

WARNING FROM IRAN: GREAT RISK

Ali Akbar Velayati, the International Relations Advisor to Iranian leader Muqtada Khamenei, stated that ignoring Hezbollah's role in Lebanon would expose the country to security risks.

In a statement addressed to Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam from the account of the US-based X company's social media platform, Velayati evaluated Hezbollah's role in Lebanon.

Velayati said, "(Lebanese Prime Minister) Nawaf Salam should know that ignoring the unique role of the resistance and Hezbollah will expose Lebanon to irreparable security risks. The stability of Lebanon depends solely on the synergy between the state and the resistance."
