While the investigation into the singer Güllü (Gül Tut), who fell from the window of her apartment on the 6th floor in Yalova and lost her life, continues, the lawyer of the artist's daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu filed a criminal complaint against 8 people due to allegations made about their clients and violation of privacy.
The investigation initiated by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office following the incident that occurred in the 6-story building in the Harmanlar neighborhood of Çınarcık district is ongoing. Merve Uçanok, the lawyer representing Gül Tut's daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, came to the Yalova Courthouse with her clients and raised various allegations.
ALLEGATION OF VIOLATION OF PRIVACY
Uçanok stated in a written statement that they filed a criminal complaint against B.D., R.G., Ç.K., Ferdi Aydın, and the lawyers Gülşah M., Gizem A., Özge Ö., and Gülter's boyfriend Kervan E. for recording audio without their clients' knowledge, violating privacy, and making false allegations.
"WE WILL FIGHT UNTIL THE END"
Uçanok, who also took on the legal representation of İ.Ö., mentioned in the investigation, stated that her client has been subjected to systematic attacks on social media. The statement included the following remarks:
"Some individuals claiming to fight against violence towards women are disclosing my client İ.Ö.'s personal data and making statements targeting her private life in uncontrolled social media broadcasts. The main reason for these attacks is my client's expression of her views in the course of her journalistic duties. This attitude puts both my client and her family in a difficult situation and causes serious grievances."
Uçanok argued that not only İ.Ö. but also women and journalists with differing opinions are targeted by similar attacks, stating, "We will fight against this understanding that manipulates society and targets women until the end."
Uçanok also noted that they are working on different criminal charges within the scope of the investigation and announced that additional criminal complaints would be filed soon against individuals and institutions involved in similar actions.
