In a fire that broke out in an apartment on the ground floor of a two-story building in Pendik, Istanbul, 2-year-old Özden Sepetçi, 9-year-old Cennet Çelikkol, and 5-year-old Zülfikar Sepetçi lost their lives, while 11-year-old Muhammet Ali Çelikkol was seriously injured. It was reported that the fire started while mother Selvi Sepetçi was taking her daughter to the hospital. The Istanbul Governorship also issued a written statement regarding the tragedy.

The fire broke out for an unknown reason at around 02:15 in the ground floor apartment of a two-story building located on Umman Street in Fevzi Çakmak Neighborhood. Those who saw the fire alerted the fire department and health teams. Firefighters, police, and health teams were dispatched to the scene.
4 CHILDREN HOSPITALIZED
While the firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, four children who were in the house and were rescued from the flames by nearby citizens immediately after the fire were taken to the hospital. Among the children, Özden Sepetçi (2), Cennet Çelikkol (9), and Zülfikar Sepetçi (5) lost their lives, while Muhammet Ali Çelikkol (11) was seriously injured.
MOTHER TOOK HER DAUGHTER TO THE HOSPITAL, FIRE BROKE OUT AT HOME
Meanwhile, it was reported that a fire broke out at home while mother Selvi Sepetçi was taking her daughter Ela Nur to the hospital. The mother was taken into custody, and an investigation into the fire was initiated.
