In the investigation regarding the death of singer Güllü, the number of people taken into custody has risen to five, including her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, who were detained on charges of 'intentional murder.' While their interrogations at the police station continue, it has been reported that Gülter and Ulu were caught leaving their residence in Istanbul with suitcases, preparing to escape to Georgia or France by sea or in a truck trailer.
On September 26, singer Gül Tut fell from the window of her apartment on the top floor of a six-story building on Vali Akı Street in the Harmanlar neighborhood of Çınarcık district. An investigation initiated by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is ongoing.
GÜLLÜ'S DAUGHTER AND FRIEND IN CUSTODY After technical and physical surveillance, a detention order was issued for Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu. Teams from the Istanbul Police Department and Yalova Police Department determined that the two suspects were preparing to flee abroad. Following this, teams captured Gülter and Ulu during an operation at an address in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, on the evening of December 9. A 17-year-old individual present at the house was also taken into custody.
Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter - Sultan Nur Ulu SULTAN'S FATHER ALSO IN CUSTODY While Gülter and Ulu were being interrogated at the police station in Yalova, it was reported that the 17-year-old suspect was handed over to her family who came to the police station. In the scope of the investigation, the person who transported Gülter and Ulu from Yalova to Istanbul, the owner of the house where they stayed in Istanbul, T.Y., and Ulu's father, A.U., were also taken into custody. It was noted that A.U., who was detained as a suspect, had a record of various crimes and was under supervised release.
THERE WERE CONTRADICTIONS IN THEIR STATEMENTS, THEY WERE MONITORED STEP BY STEP Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and Sultan Nur Ulu, who were under constant technical and physical surveillance, were detained for the crime of 'intentional murder', and a confidentiality order was issued for the file containing strong concrete evidence. It was reported that while experts were conducting an examination at the crime scene, there were contradictions in the statements given by the suspects regarding the incident and during the reenactment at the crime scene. Additionally, contradictions were recorded in the statements taken from Gülter and Ulu a total of three times at different times.
"THE RESULT OF A DETAILED WORK" Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor Duygu Bayar Öksüz stated that they are conducting a detailed, careful, and secret investigation like digging a well with a needle, emphasizing that they are working meticulously to capture concrete evidence, and said, "We had to confront them with concrete evidence. We could not afford any mistakes. It is the result of a detailed work."
"NO ONE HAS YET TOLD THE TRUTH" Prosecutor Öksüz also noted that the suspects have not confessed anything so far during their interrogations, and regarding the sound analyses from the security camera sent to TÜBİTAK, she stated, "There is a confidentiality order in the file. We are keeping it secret. No one has yet told the truth."
THEY WERE CAUGHT WITH SUITCASES IN HAND Four days before their capture, footage emerged of Gülter and Ulu walking on the street in Mimaroba neighborhood of Büyükçekmece, as they left their apartment with suitcases.
THEY PLANNED TO ESCAPE FROM TURKEY IN A TRUCK TRAILER It was reported that Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter and Sultan Nur Ulu left home with suitcases to escape to Georgia or France. It was also noted that Gülter and Ulu planned to leave Turkey by sea or in the trailer of a truck to avoid being caught at the airport.
