Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as the trustee of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency, made a post on his social media account stating, "In such difficult times, maintaining brotherhood and solidarity within the party is our most fundamental duty." Comments under Tekin's post included remarks such as, "You have exhausted us, you have demoralized us. You have lost your support among the people."
The CHP's Istanbul Congress was annulled by the court as a result of the lawsuit filed. Özgür Çelik and the current administration were dismissed, while 196 delegates were temporarily removed. With this decision, the ongoing congress process was also halted. Gürsel Tekin was appointed as the trustee of the CHP Provincial Presidency.

Tekin, who expressed that he would accept the position, made a striking post on his social media account. Stating, "I am a student of the CHP established on the battlefields," Tekin added, "My party has been my red line throughout my life. In such difficult times, it is our primary duty to maintain brotherhood and solidarity within the party. When it comes to CHP, the rest is detail."

Tekin's post received a large number of comments in a short time. Under the post, comments such as "You have exhausted us, you have worn us out. HAS PAID HIS DUES IN ADVANCE
Tekin had announced his resignation from the CHP a few months ago. However, despite this announcement, it was revealed that he had not completed the official membership procedures. It was learned that Tekin paid his membership dues to keep his CHP membership active just one day before the court decision. This development also brought discussions regarding the timing of the temporary management appointment and its political implications.
