JUMPED FROM THE CEILING
It was determined that the animal jumped in from a tile in the attic and headed straight for the shelf where the whiskey bottles were located. Many bottles were knocked to the ground, and some broke, creating a pool of alcohol on the floor.
FOUND PASSED OUT
When the store opened in the morning, employees encountered the raccoon passed out in the bathroom. It was assessed that the animal might have drunk the alcohol that spilled from the broken bottles.
"DRANK EVERYTHING IT FOUND"
Samantha Martin, an animal control officer called to the scene, could not hide her surprise at the sight. Martin said, "I love raccoons; they are really fun animals. This one jumped from the ceiling and went completely wild. It drank everything it found."
RELEASED BACK INTO NATURE
After the incident, the raccoon was carefully taken to the animal shelter. In a statement from the authorities, it was said, "After resting for a few hours, no signs of injury were observed. It only had a 'hangover' look. It was released back into nature in a healthy condition."
