He denied the claim that he worked with İmamoğlu's campaign director Ayşe Barım.

13.01.2025 20:30

Ekrem İmamoğlu's campaign director, Necati Özkan, responded to claims that he is working with the famous manager Ayşe Barım, stating, "The old men we know are repeating the old lies we know."

Another allegation has been added regarding Ayşe Barım, the owner of ID İletişim, which manages many famous names in Turkey.

It has been claimed that Barım, who has been in the spotlight with allegations such as favoring certain actors, conditioning the acquisition of other actors to provide the desired ones, and moving unviewed productions to digital for their third seasons, is said to be on the board of a subsidiary owned by Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul, campaign director Necati Özkan.

ÖZKAN RESPONDS TO ALLEGATIONS

Necati Özkan, İmamoğlu's campaign director, responded to news made through allegations of joint work with Ayşe Barım.

In his statement, Özkan said, "Recently, especially through social media, a dirty and purposefully clear campaign is being conducted against me. Some trigger-happy individuals disguised as journalists are stirring up storms in a teacup. As part of the campaign, Ayşe Barım, who is the owner of one of this country's professional management companies, is the target. They are including me and my wife in the campaign just because we know Ayşe Barım. The planners and executors of the campaign are so malicious that it is pointless to respond to each of them individually," he stated.

"PERCEPTION OPERATION"

Özkan, stating that "The old men we know are repeating the old lies we know," said, "This group, who have never achieved any success through their own talents and knowledge, is working to please today's political power; they are managing a perception operation by mixing up the wheat and the chaff," and claimed that the allegations are a political manipulation.

Özkan continued his statement as follows:

"They are shamelessly playing with the reputations of people who do not know each other and have never done a single penny's worth of business together. They are providing material for conspiratorial minds with methods beyond truth and tail lies.

As if doing your job with passion, doing your job at a world-class level, and being in a competent and respected position worldwide as a citizen of this country is a crime... As if knowing someone in this country or being seen with others in various circles is forbidden... As if developing projects and creating platforms to raise the standards of the sector you serve in this country is something wrong...

"THEY NEVER TIRED OF SMEARING ME"

For the past 15 years, they have not tired of writing and drawing against me 3-5 times a year, and of smearing me on TV channels.

Yes, we do our job not just well, but very well. Because we love our country, our nation, and our work very much. No matter how much you play dirty, no matter how many perception operations you conduct, you will not harm the capable, hardworking, and honest vein of this country.

I had ignored these old men until now. We will meet in courts with each of these men, who commit dozens of crimes simultaneously in terms of both commercial law and criminal law with the campaign they have conducted. Because no matter how much influence they have, the judiciary is still the only institution we can trust."

TRAVEL BAN IMPOSED

Meanwhile, a travel ban has been imposed on Ayşe Barım, who manages some famous actors like Serenay Sarıkaya, as part of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which accepted the allegations in the posts and news on social media platforms as a tip-off.
