"I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE"Devrim Demir, the businessman who fell into the pool with his car, said about the incident, "I went to Bodrum for work. The weather was very rainy, and it was very dark around. After we finished our work, I wanted to go to the marina. I saw the sea on the right side. I thought I was approaching the marina. There were cars on the right and left while I was going. Also, there were no safety measures at all. I was moving along the street. It was an asphalt road. While I was moving along the street, I saw a faint light in the distance. I thought it was a closed road, so I wanted to turn left and exit. When I turned left, I fell into the pool. There were no warnings or signs. I was very scared and panicked. I didn't know what to do. I thought I was going to die. I thought I had reached the end of the road. Water had started to seep inside. At first, I tried to open the car door, but I couldn't. Then I thought of the windows. When I opened the window, the water rushed in, but this allowed me to open the door. My car is also severely damaged. I will not let this go. When it comes to death, I used to say that the thing I feared the most was drowning, and it almost happened to me. God protected me. Now, I will find it hard to enter a pool or the sea." he stated.
