It amused the onlookers when a police officer in Bodrum gave a child riding a bicycle on the sidewalk a punishment of not watching cartoons for a week and also cleaning up his bed for not wearing a helmet.
The cute dialogue between a traffic police officer and a child riding a bicycle on the sidewalk in Bodrum district of Muğla made people smile.
Gökhan Genç, a traffic police officer working at the District Police Department, said to the child named Aslan, who was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk, "This is for pedestrians, you are riding a motorcycle here. Where is your helmet? Then I will give you a ticket, come here." The child, feeling embarrassed, went to the police officer and said that he didn't have a helmet.
"IF YOU DON'T DO THESE, I WILL TIE YOUR MOTORCYCLE"
The police officer, who gave a ticket to the child for riding a bicycle on the sidewalk and not wearing a helmet, said, "You won't watch cartoons for a week because you rode your bicycle on the sidewalk. And because you didn't wear a helmet, you will have to tidy up your bed for a week. I will check on you for a week. If you don't do these, I will tie your motorcycle."
Little Aslan took the paper on which the police officer wrote the ticket and left after signing it.
