In Zonguldak, 71-year-old Hüseyin Derin shot and killed his 43-year-old former daughter-in-law, Gönül Karakök, with a shotgun. It was reported that after the murder, Derin went to a barber and said, "Shave me. I shot my daughter-in-law, I will turn myself in," and then he surrendered to the gendarmerie.
In Zonguldak, Hüseyin Derin (71) shot and killed his former daughter-in-law Gönül Karakök (43) with a shotgun while they were living in the same house. It was learned that after the incident, Derin went to a barber to get a haircut and then surrendered to a passing gendarmerie team.
The incident occurred around 18:00 in the village of Kızılbel, Perşembe District of Çaycuma. A dispute broke out between Gönül Karakök and her former father-in-law Hüseyin Derin for an unknown reason. As the argument escalated, Hüseyin Derin fired two shots at his former daughter-in-law with a shotgun. Karakök was seriously injured, having been shot in the back and neck. Upon hearing the gunshots, people called the authorities, and gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Karakök was taken to the hospital by ambulance but could not be saved despite all the doctors' interventions.
WENT TO THE BARBER AND GOT A HAIRCUT
After shooting his former daughter-in-law, Hüseyin Derin fled via a mountain road and went to a barber in the village center, where he reportedly said, "Give me a haircut. I shot my daughter-in-law, I will surrender." After the haircut, it was learned that Derin surrendered to a passing gendarmerie team.

On the other hand, it was claimed that Gönül Karakök, a mother of three, divorced her husband to receive her father's pension but continued to live with Derin, who allegedly used psychiatric medications from time to time. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
