In Üsküdar, a person named M.G. shot at a businessman who was the former religious spouse of his sister after a dispute arose between them. The businessman, who was shot, attempted to retaliate by driving his vehicle towards his former brother-in-law, but the assailant fled on foot. While the businessman lost his life, the assailant was apprehended and arrested the same day.
On July 18, Friday, a chilling incident occurred at a gas station located in the Kısıklı neighborhood of Üsküdar district in Istanbul. A 67-year-old man identified as A.B., known as a businessman from Ordu, arrived at the gas station in his vehicle.
SHOT AT HIS FORMER BROTHER-IN-LAW
A dispute broke out between A.B. and M.G., who was in the same vehicle and identified as the brother of A.B.'s former religious wife. As the argument escalated quickly, M.G. shot at A.B. with a gun.
DRIVED HIS VEHICLE OVER HIM, ATTACKER FLED
Wounded by gunfire, A.B. attempted to retaliate by driving his vehicle towards the attacker, but M.G. fled the scene on foot. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
BUSINESSMAN LOST HIS LIFE
A.B., who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but despite all efforts, he could not be saved. A.B.'s body was sent to his hometown of Ordu for burial.
ATTACKER ARRESTED THE SAME DAY
As a result of the investigations initiated by the Istanbul Police Department following the incident, the suspect M.G. was apprehended on the same day along with the weapon used in the crime. After his procedures at the police station, M.G. was referred to the courthouse on July 19 and was arrested by the judge. Meanwhile, security camera footage from the moment of the incident has emerged.
