The incident occurred on the night of Diwali, a festival celebrated as the festival of lights in Indian culture. A young man named Shabarish was celebrating with his friends while consuming alcohol when they made a dangerous suggestion to him. They told the unemployed Shabarish, "If you sit on top of the firework box and wait for it to explode, we will buy you a three-wheeled taxi."

Struggling to make ends meet and unable to find a job, Shabarish accepted this dangerous offer with the dream of owning his own business. Security camera footage shows his heartless friends fleeing after igniting the firework box.

In the horrifying aftermath of the explosion, Shabarish is seen writhing in pain on the ground, with his friends gathered around him. The severely injured young man was taken to the hospital but passed away two days later.

The police have detained six individuals in connection with this death. The suspects will be prosecuted for "manslaughter with conscious negligence."

The Deputy Regional Police Chief stated, "Unemployed Shabarish accepted this dangerous offer in the hope of improving his life with the promised three-wheeled taxi."
