A driver in Esenyurt, whose car did not have a valid inspection, fled when the police ordered him to stop. The driver, who dragged a police officer holding onto the vehicle for several meters, was able to stop after hitting a service minibus. In the incident, which caused material damage to three vehicles, the driver was taken into custody.
Yesterday afternoon, a driver trying to escape from the police caused chaos in the Mehterçeşme neighborhood of Esenyurt district in Istanbul.
DRAGGED POLICE FOR METERS
According to reports, a driver fled after not complying with the police's "stop" order due to the lack of a vehicle inspection. When the police tried to stop the individual by holding onto the vehicle, they were dragged for meters, and a long chase ensued between the teams and the individual.
ARRESTED
After colliding with two different vehicles, the driver came to a stop by crashing into a service minibus, and the police arrested the individual.
"STOPPED BY CRASHING INTO THE MINIBUS"
Describing the moments of the incident, Aykut Evciler said, "A driver was fleeing from the police. We also headed in that direction. Then he stopped by crashing into a service minibus. The police immediately arrested the man. He said he fled because he didn't have an inspection."
