A person who attacked and injured 5 people with a knife in a tea garden in Eskişehir was found to have changed his clothes in a back street. New details about the incident, which Turkey is talking about, have also emerged.

In the incident that took place in Şehit Rüstem Demirbaş Park in Uluönder Neighborhood of Tepebaşı district, 18-year-old Arda K. attacked the individuals sitting in the tea garden with a knife. Arda K., who concealed his face with a mask using a bulletproof vest, helmet, and goggles, stabbed 5 citizens in the area and was then caught and taken into custody. N.Ö. (87), T.A. (71), C.Ö. (57), C.A. (64), and M.K. (64), who were injured in the incident, were taken to hospitals in the city. While 2 of the injured were admitted to the ward, the treatment of the other 3 is still ongoing in the intensive care unit as a precaution. It was learned that Arda K., who was determined to have changed his clothes in a place close to the scene and prepared for the attack, is still being processed at the police station.

The game the child played was about cutting tools. We came here early in the morning and had the opportunity to talk to the citizens. According to what the citizens said, the attacker had previously come to this point and observed the surroundings by climbing on roofs. After changing clothes, he moved to the park of the mosque. He had pepper spray, a knife, and a machete in his hand. After entering, he ran forward. There are parks and playgrounds inside. The citizens were drinking tea and chatting. He came here, looked around, and stabbed one person, then stabbed another person. His next target was the tram stop. He also stabbed a person there. A total of 5 people were injured.

Hasan Güler, the muhtar of Uluönder Neighborhood, stated that Arda K., who carried out the knife attack, lived in Uluönder Neighborhood until 3 years ago and said, "He was living in our neighborhood. Then they moved to Çamlıca Neighborhood. I don't know about his childhood, but the family is a quiet couple working in a factory. One of the 2 children of the family. According to what we read on the internet, he was raised by his grandmother and grandfather. It seems that the family was also taking care of him, of course, but we don't know for sure. He was introverted. He must have known someone here who carried out the incident. Because his childhood was spent here. He chose the elderly in the tea garden in the incident," he said.

Muharrem K., who stated that he helped the injured citizens in the attack, used the following statements: "I saw blood in some parts of the people lying on the ground. I looked again. There was someone holding his stomach near the tram stop. Then the police caught him. I handed a tissue to a person who was injured in front of the mosque. I still have a part of the tissue with me. The citizens who helped were trying to dress the wounds with the papers they found on the ground. There was so much blood that they washed this place with a hose. I saw 3 injured people here. He had a different outfit. Then the police caught him. But the child didn't say anything."
