A woman who was stabbed in the throat by her religiously married husband in the Körfez district of Kocaeli collapsed on the street after escaping from the house. The seriously injured woman was taken to the hospital, while the fleeing suspect was caught.
According to information obtained in Kocaeli, a person named S.A., residing in the Hacıosman neighborhood, started to argue with his religiously married wife, Şengül B. (42), for an unknown reason.
STABBED IN THE THROAT
As the argument escalated, S.A. cut his wife's throat with a knife. The woman collapsed suddenly while trying to escape from the house and get to the street.
FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE
Upon the notification of the neighborhood residents, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Şengül B., who received first aid from the medical teams, was then transferred to Derince Training and Research Hospital and subsequently to Kocaeli City Hospital. It was learned that the woman was still in critical condition.
After the incident, S.A., who fled the scene, was caught and detained as a result of the rapid pursuit by the police teams. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
