In the Karabağlar district of İzmir, Selim Yağız (33), who was stabbed multiple times in the neck and abdomen during a fight between two groups, lost his life. The moment of the knife fight was captured by security cameras second by second.
STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET
The incident occurred around 10:00 PM on 3771/6 Street in Devrim Neighborhood. According to reports, a dispute that started between two groups in the street quickly escalated into a knife fight. During the scuffle, Selim Yağız collapsed to the ground after being stabbed multiple times in the neck and abdomen by B.S. (24) during his knife attack. After the incident, the suspect fled, and health and police teams were dispatched to the address upon the notification of nearby citizens. During the examination by the health personnel, it was determined that Yağız had lost his life.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Crime scene investigation teams conducted examinations in the area where Yağız was killed. The body of Yağız, who lost his life due to multiple stab wounds, was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy after the prosecutor's examination. The teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Public Order Department consulted witnesses as part of the initiated investigation. Additionally, security cameras in the area were also examined by police teams. It was learned that efforts were ongoing to capture the murder suspect B.S.
FIGHT CAPTURED ON SECURITY CAMERA
During the investigation conducted by the Homicide Bureau teams in the area, it was determined that there was a security camera that recorded the incident. In the footage captured by the security camera, B.S., wearing black pants and a white t-shirt, was seen making successive attacks with the knife while the two groups were arguing. It was revealed that B.S. had 27 criminal records, while the deceased Selim Yağız had 10 criminal records. The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
