The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, attended the opening of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Boulevard, which has been completed in Batman. In a statement made here, Minister Şimşek said, "Our Batman will likely become a metropolitan city within 7 to 10 years at this rate. Being a metropolitan city means growing and developing. Currently, there are many organized industrial zones under construction and in the planning stage. Therefore, the city center of our province is developing and advancing very rapidly."

Minister Şimşek later attended the opening of the completed Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Boulevard. The ceremony was attended by Governor and Deputy Mayor Ekrem Canalp, Deputy Ministers Abdullah Erdem Cantimür and Zekeriya Kaya, AK Party Batman MP Ferhat Nasıroğlu, Provincial Police Chief İbrahim Kaba, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Ekrem Doğan, Garrison Commander Brigadier General Mehmet Ali Koç, AK Party Provincial Chairman Hüseyin Şansi, AK Party Gercüş Mayor Gündüz Günaydın, Beşiri Mayor Alparslan Karabulut, guests, and citizens. After the ceremony, Minister Şimşek drove on the newly opened road with Togg's T10x model vehicle.

Speaking here, Minister Şimşek thanked those who contributed to the project, stating, "Our Batman will likely become a metropolitan city within 7 to 10 years with this trend. Becoming a metropolitan city means growing, developing. Currently, there are many organized industrial zones under construction and in the planning phase. Therefore, the city center of our province is developing and progressing very rapidly."
"THIS ROAD WILL REDUCE AIR POLLUTION"
Infrastructure is a very important component. This road is also very significant in that sense. Heavy vehicles coming from Kozluk, Van, and Bitlis will be able to connect directly to the Diyarbakır road without entering the city traffic. Thus, air pollution will be reduced, traffic will flow better, and fuel savings will be achieved. "This is a very valuable project for Batman," he said. Minister Şimşek then attended the commencement ceremony of the 4th phase of the Batman Stream Rehabilitation on the Silvan highway with his companions.
