Renjian, who was found to have received approximately $37.6 million in cash and real estate bribes during his various positions from 2007 to 2024, has been given the death penalty.
CONVERTED TO 2 YEARS IN PRISON
While the court postponed the death penalty, it commuted the sentence to two years in prison due to Renjian's confession of guilt.
EXPELLED FROM THE PARTY IN 2024
The Chinese Communist Party expelled Renjian from the party in November 2024, six months after the investigation was launched.
